Online Writing App is a text editor you use directly in your web browser. There’s nothing to install. No account to create. Just hit the "Start writing" button and let the words flow. Your work saves automatically, so you can return to it — even if you close the tab.

Each document can be easily exported in two ways. You can copy the text to your clipboard, or you can export your work as a file. Export as .txt if you want plain, unformatted text, or as .html if you want to keep your formatting (such as headings, bold, or lists). Just use the export or copy options in the sidebar to save your work in the format you prefer.

Your writing is stored locally in your browser's storage (or, more specifically, in an instance of an IndexedDB database on your phone, tablet, or computer). It never leaves your device or gets uploaded to any server.

Yes, clearing your browser data, such as cookies and local storage, will delete your saved writing. Online Writing App lets you copy your writing to your clipboard or export it as a .txt or .html file. Although you will only lose your work if you clear your browser data, consider exporting important documents regularly.
